Women’s Retreat

June 23 - June 25

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, leaving little time for self-care and spiritual growth. Women’s Retreat is a haven designed for you to let go of your daily stresses and recharge your soul. Along with nourishing meals and engaging activities, you’ll enjoy a serene environment that encourages relaxation and reflection, and inspiring sessions that focus on healing and restoration. Take the time to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, other women, and Jesus.

Guest Speaker: Marcha William

Marcha William is an international speaker, singer, artist, composer and doctor, who is passionate about sharing how incredibly loved and valued we are to God.  She enjoys composing and singing Christian devotional music to help listeners experience deeper communion with God.  She also enjoys delving deeply into the Word of God to help challenge the lies that wound and imprison our hearts and minds, so that we can find healing, freedom, identity and higher purpose through the lover of our souls, Jesus Christ.  Her message is powerfully expressed through her own personal journey from brokenness to restoration with intimate insight into her struggle with depression, encounters with an ever present and caring God, and the powerful role music has played in helping her regain her joy and purpose again. It is Marcha’s desire now to help others find the same healing and freedom through Christ.

Marcha has had many opportunities to share her message as a speaker and vocal soloist for concerts, conference events, women’s retreats, conventions and church services.  She has also shared in song at the 2015 Seventh-day Adventist General Conference in San Antonio, with a further video of her composition and performance also being recently broadcasted in the 2022 General Conference in St Louis.  She has appeared on Christian broadcasting networks such as Hope Channel, 3ABN Australia, 3ABN International, 3ABN Dare to Dream, including co-hosting the emotional health series “Forgive to Live”, sponsored by the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP).

Marcha brings to the table a unique combination of gifts and skills that further enriches her healing message.  She has worked as a medical doctor for 10 years, including five years in community and hospital based mental health departments, and has also completed a Bachelor of Music Honours, having graduated with high distinction and university medal award.  She is currently working as a project manager and mental health assessment trainer for health professionals in community based medical practices and is soon to commence a PhD in music neuroscience to research the benefits of music for those suffering from depression and anxiety.

It is her goal to accompany the message of God’s healing love with music composed for congregations and communities that not only leads them to the foot of the cross, but also brings healing to the mind and soul.  Marcha’s first album, ‘Take My Heart’, was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, and has been described as music overflowing with rich, fluid orchestrations and quiet intimacy that carries the pure, angelic tones of a soloist intent on bringing calmness and peace to the suffering heart.  Marcha has currently completed a studio recording of a brand-new single, ‘Your Word’, in preparation for release of her second album, in the near future.
