Worship Conference 2017 was a conference with a significant difference. While normally we would have an array of plenary sessions and workshops, this year we made time to pause and reflect in family groups on questions from each plenary session.  Another significant aspect was the involvement and participation of talented and committed young leaders from across the Conference.

The focus for the weekend was the heart of worship and what it means to keep Jesus First in our relationships in times such as these. Pr Eddie started us off on Friday evening with a thought provoking message on Listening to Jesus First. On Sabbath we heard from Pr Ben Reynolds on Reflecting on Jesus First and from Pr Nigel King on Understanding Jesus First. We came together for a Prayer Breakfast on Sunday morning and committed our Finances, Interests, Relationships, Schedules and Troubles to God. Pr Lance wrapped the weekend up for us with a powerful message on Serving Jesus First.  We washed each other’s feet and feasted from a bountiful table of Bread and Wine in a final act of servant hood and worship before we departed for our homes.

A delegate mentioned at the beginning of the weekend that he wondered what skills he would take back to his church from the Worship Conference.  By Sunday, each worshipper knew that we were taking our transformed hearts back with us; hearts that had experienced the freedom and connection that comes from putting Jesus First.

The date for Worship Conference 2018 is July 6 – 8.  We would love to see more of you join us on this journey to becoming a community of worshippers who put Jesus First.
