We are excited to have Pr and Mrs Ian and Kaye McKean join our team. Ian has been appointed to serve as pastor for Royal Oak Church. Born a sheep farmer’s son from the Manawatu, Ian completed his degree in theology at Avondale College.  He served as a pastor in Adelaide, followed by 3 years as Avondale College chaplain and counsellor.   From 1985 to 1987 he was Church Ministries Director for the North NZ Conference and then appointed to the then Trans-Tasman Union Conference as Personal Ministries and Sabbath School Director.  For the past 23 years he has been a consulting psychotherapist, with certification in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and Dyadic Developmental children’s interventions.  Ian’s psychological expertise is in attachment neuroscience interventions.  He has a passion for training and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development. Kaye was born, and always lived on the North Shore, Auckland.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Ministry from NZ Bible College and is an economics and business studies secondary school teacher.  She is also an accredited family therapist and has a Masters in Social Work from Otago University.

Ian and Kaye love Jesus, our church, and desire to see our people live transformed lives. It is our sincere prayer that Ian and Kaye will be blessed tremendously as they bless others through their ministry.
