Adult Workshops 2:00 – 4:00pm

1. Kingdom-centric Discipleship from the Margins

Dr Paul Siope

Discover what Kingdom-centric discipleship looks like in the New Zealand harvest.

Presenter: Paul Siope
Paul has served as a church pastor, church planter and key note speaker in New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, and the USA. He is the senior pastor for Healthy Adventist Communities. He believes “the gospel is at its best when we are most at risk” and that “being comfortable being uncomfortable is the Kingdom norm for every disciple maker of Jesus Christ” — so that God’s love and peace can be concretely extended and experienced over every form of injustice and oppression.

2. Local Church as a Discipleship Hub

Acts 2:42-47 paints a picture of a church that is vibrant, a growing community of loving people.

If you have a dream that your church could look like this, then join us as we discover how to facilitate it.

Many books and manuals have been written on this topic: some may even have made the objective seem out of reach and impossible to achieve. If you are up to the challenge, I’m confident that you will have a fresh experience and become motivated to grow your church into a disciple-making movement.

You don’t need a degree in theology to accomplish your goal. Willingness to respond to the leading of God’s Spirit, is all you require.

Discover how to deepen a personal relationship with Jesus. Find out how other believers could enhance your faith experience, and how to lead others to meet Jesus and accept Him as their Saviour.

Pr Victor Kulakov

Presenter: Victor Kulakov
Pr Victor Kulakov who currently serves as the Director of Family Relationships Cluster for New Zealand Pacific Union Conference has ministered in two other countries, Russia and Greece. Victor’s greatest passion is to empower people to fall in love with life – make positive changes, enjoy the fullness of relationships and have abundance and success in all aspects of life.

3. Crucial Conversations

At some point we will all have difficult conversations. Most people resort to a “fight or flight” approach to conflict that seldom achieves good solutions or any kind of peace. In this seminar Pastor Pierce shares how to have meaningful conversations when opinions differ, emotions run strong, and the stakes are high. Drawing on personal experience, scripture, and communication theory, this seminar will help you engage in crucial conversations.
