Emotionally Healthy Spirituality

Most often, we overlook the role of emotions in a Healthy Adventist Church. Until unhealthy emotion breaks loose in a business meeting or in our homes.

Peter Scazzero helps us understand the close connection between emotional health and spiritual health. Some years ago, when his wife announced she was leaving his church and distancing herself from him, this New York pastor was plunged into a crisis that forced him to acknowledge his poverty of emotional connection.

Peter Scazzero has produced many resources that help pastors guide their churches to being emotionally healthy in their spirituality. See www.emotionallyhealthy.org/index.php/about/bios/pete-scazzero/ (external link).

Click here for a two page document that describes the characteristics of churches transformed by Emotionally Healthy Spirituality.
